I shared the latest Marks and Spencer’s Christmas advert yesterday, but did you know that you, too, can dress like Mrs. Claus from the advert?
You know Christmas isn’t Christmas until the John Lewis advert comes out!
The last couple of John Lewis Christmas adverts have been kind of a bust for me (especially the weird man in the moon advert from last year, which I didn’t even blog about because it was so ridiculous – but I did laugh at the Guardian’s take on it. As an aside, this style of writing is why British newspapers completely kick American newspapers’ big fat bums.)
And without further ado, here is this year’s advert — which I really like. Animals bouncing on trampolines! It’s simple pleasure tied up in a big red bow!
What do you think? Yay or nay?
I’ve blogged about my love affair with Liberty London before. And so you can imagine my delight at seeing Liberty London’s home decor and giftables available stateside — at Nordstrom’s Pop-In Shop! Items range from gardening tools to stationery to clothing.
Here are also some other pieces that I have my eye on:
Liberty London will be at the Nordstrom Pop-In Shop until Aug. 2.
Ah, I love a good skort. It’s literally the mullet (well, in the best possible sense of the word!) of the fashion world – skirt on the outside, shorts on the inside.
Boden has done a nice jersey skort ($32) this season that brings back childhood memories of summer. Sweet prints, easy to wear and requires no major ironing. Sizes range from kids 1 1/2 – 12.
Now if they could only make these for adults.
Sorry for the radio silence! It’s been a crazy few weeks both at work and at home, but a lot of fun! My parents came to visit, I celebrated my birthday and spent four blissful days visiting New York City with my husband. Highlights included lunch at Jean Georges, front row seats at “Bullets over Broadway,” and seeing some great stand-up at the Comedy Cellar (including a surprise set from Ray Romano).
How was your 4th of July? I hope it was safe and enjoyable!
Speaking of 4th of July, Boden started its summer sale, with up to 50 percent off of items. I bought a Sorrento swimsuit, which was regularly $88, on sale for $70.
Sweet, right? Have a happy Monday!
When we were visiting London last year, we passed by the shop Joules at Waterloo Station. The shop wasn’t open yet (still in “coming soon” mode), but I peered through the window (the French call it “lècher la vitrine” or window shopping, actually the literal translation of “window licking,” which was what I was nearly doing) and was absolutely charmed. Their women’s and children’s lines were gorgeous, lots of sweet patterns and lovely designs. Wellies in primary colors. Whimsical and easy to wear basics.
This is the craziest story I’ve read in awhile. Crazier than this.
A swarm of 5,000 bees hit London’s Top Shop on Victoria Street this week.
No confirmation on what has drawn the swarm to this particular location, but it appears the seasonal sale had something to do with it.
Attention Hunter Wellie fans! These Hunter ‘Rigley’ Rain Boots are currently on sale at Nordstrom for $116.98, regularly priced $195. They come in Dark Ruby. Get ’em before they are gone!
