The 28 poshest things that have ever happened

These bloody good blokes enjoying a day at the races

Americans may have “fancy,” but Brits have “posh” and posh beats fancy hands down. For proof, check out Buzzfeed’s amazing collection: “The 28 poshest things that have ever happened.”

The list includes names like Biggles George Fittleworth and seasonal goose eggs, croquet and men in red pants.

If you aren’t sure what posh actually means in the U.K., this will settle it for you for sure! Enjoy and have a great weekend!

Counting with Benedict Cumberbatch

OMG. Benedict Cumberbatch was on “Sesame Street” this week! So cute! And check out Murray-arty, his arch nemesis!

The truth about American football

How was your Superbowl Sunday? We went to a Superbowl party at a friend’s house this year and filled up on snacks, beers and actually watched some of the game for the first time in years (too bad that it wasn’t actually an exciting or remotely close game! At least there was this advert and Bruno Mars and those bright, colorful uniforms to focus on.)

Anyway, for those American football agnostics in the room, I saw this and had to share!

Paddington Bear’s “Singing in the Rain”

At long last, after a record drought in Sacramento, we’re finally getting some rain.

Not rain like the U.K. has gotten rain all winter long, mind you, but at least it’s a start. And on that note, Ruby posted this delightful video of Paddington Bear “Singing in the Rain,” following my post last week about Gap’s Paddington Bear line. Enjoy!

Anna Kendrick’s Newcastle Brown Ale ad

Our house is an American football-free zone, but every year, there is the slightest whiff of interest in the Super Bowl ads.

Love Anna Kendrick and love her non-Superbowl Newcastle Brown Ale commercial, which exemplifies the no-bollocks brand. If you haven’t seen it, check it out! And have a happy Super Bowl Sunday!

Red Bull’s office gives employees wings

Check out Red Bull’s London headquarters, which has been recently refurbished. New offices comprise the top three floors of an existing 19th century building – including a rooftop extension. The top floor also includes a main reception, bar, café, and both informal and formal meeting areas. Looks like a pretty cool place to work!
