Losing a friend
“Our perfect companions never have fewer than four feet.” – Colette
Yesterday, our cat Poppy passed away after 11 years of life. It’s never easy to lose a pet, but I didn’t expect how much I would really miss the tap-tap-tap of her paws on our floors or the nightly ritual of seeing her leaning into my daughter’s room, quietly listening to a bedtime story, straight out of a scene in “Amelie.” I imagine that she is gleefully bouncing on bedsheets right now somewhere in cat heaven.
R.I.P. Poppy.

I am really sorry to hear that….May her soul rest in peace…I can exactly understand your feelings…When you loose them its like loosing a part of you..I always had pets at home since from my childhood and I have experienced the pain on more than one occasions. But remember that they are purest life forms on earth and that is why they always go straight to heaven…Right now I have a feisty English Cocker Spaniel, A naughty Dalmatian and a very proud Indian cat…Do pass by my blog sometimes when you find the time.

Aww, I’m sorry. That’s a cute memory of Poppy listening to a bedtime story. Yes, I’m sure Poppy is having a blast in kitty heaven.
