Jigsaw’s Paris guide
I have been busily, joyfully planning our itinerary for our upcoming visit to Paris. Since it has been years since we last visited, I have been researching where to go and what to do, particularly what would be fun for our kids, as well!
British retailer Jigsaw has recently blogged about its favorite picks in Paris. Here are a few:

Men’s Marylebone Man-Skirt
Loved Boden’s April Fools prank yesterday! If you didn’t catch it, meet their latest item: the Men’s Marylebone Man-Skirt. I only wish this were real. Sigh.
Best shoes for traveling
I’m giving some serious thought about what shoes I should take on our upcoming trip to the U.K.
I was in complete spring mode, until I realized that the weather actually could still be wet and cold – particularly considering that they are getting fresh snow falling this week.
Gap’s London postcard T
Gap’s London postcard T is adorable. Now on sale for $24.99. Gap also offers postcard T’s for Milan, New York City and San Francisco.
Dressing the Queen
Have you ever wondered what it takes to dress Queen Elizabeth? Here are just a few details I discovered via this weekend’s very informative Wall Street Journal article:
1. The Queen prefers a two-inch heel.
2. Striking colors are a must.
3. Umbrellas are a necessity (she likes transparent ones the most).
4. She has quite a collection of hats.
More details like these can be found in the book, “Dressing the Queen: The Jubilee Wardrobe” written by royal couturier Angela Kelly, who manages the queen’s public and private wardrobe.
Peter Rabbit line at the Gap
OMG. Baby Gap has released its Peter Rabbit line, replete with soft chambray, intarsia knits and onesies galore! Awwwww.
What to wear with the Lucy shirt
I am swooning over the entire fall collection from Boden. Over the years, I’ve bought a couple of items here and there but then returned them because they didn’t fit quite right. This year, I’ve given it another try and things fit perfectly.
Now my problem is how to style them. The above Lucy shirt is one of my latest buys – so cute with its Peter Pan collar and fitted shape. I bought it in the sale in navy (sadly, white was not available in my size) and am now stuck on what to wear with it apart from jeans. It’s suddenly seems less versatile since it’s navy rather than white. Suggestions greatly appreciated!
British retailer does vintage Americana
I was amused to see this new Marks & Spencer’s line called “Vintage Americana.” This limited collection is described as “a quirky cool summer trend inspired by 50s Americana styling. Colours are bold, prints are fun and silhouettes are unashamedly feminine!”
I’m thinking they’re trying to go for a Mad Men look, perhaps, but not all of the clothes follow that lead. What do you think?
